Materials: the play
Agenda:
  1. Reading:A note on Nanabush, and pg.9-18 (group of 4 students reads to the class: 3 characters and the stage directions reader)
  2. Significance of Nanabush ( a central figure in Aboriginal mythology): any gender, trickster, and fluidity of the figure.
  3. Circle Talk: themes of the play.
  4. Group work: tableau of the themes from the play : gender, city vs. the rez, economics/money
  5. Acting choices: short debriefing on why students chose to illustrate the themes in the particular way.
Evaluation (formative):
Tableau will be evaluated by the teacher for the correspondence between the visual representation and the themes of the play.
